Good view from a relatively inexpensive seat

    The Royal Ballet
Slight obstruction but not bad! Seat is cheaper as well due to the slight obstruction.

    Boris Godunov
Slightly obstructed view. You have to lean over to see the stage. Not very comfortable but ok for the price.

Royal Opera House, section: Amphiteatre, row: B, seat: 56
  • Royal Opera House, section: Balcony, row: D, seat: 34
The pillar is just to the left of the edge of the stage and does not impede the view. The handrail impedes the view of the bottom left corner of the stage slightly but not enough to impair the experience. The rake is good.

    Turandot
£23, but visibility was good but you have to lean on the rail the whole show. left side of the stage was blocked. From a high seat, Turandot's lighting lost impact. I'd rather have paid £100 for a good seat. Fine if you just want to see it

  • anonymous 5 star theater seat view
Royal Opera House, section: Donald Gordon Grand Tier, row: A, seat: 28
Fantastic view and acoustics and lots of leg room (I'm 6ft and don't usually have that luxury in theatres!). Well worth the money paid.

    La fille mal gardée
For £15, this is a view which will give you nearly all of the stage. At this price, I would sit here again.
  • Royal Opera House, section: Upper Slips, row: BB, seat: 22
    Like Water For Chocolate
For £9 this is great to get a taste of the ballet. It is absolutely restricted but you can see enough to enjoy and still have the live music and the atmosphere.
  • anonymous 1 star theater seat view
Royal Opera House, section: Box, row: 98
    The Nutcracker
Four people in a box. Difficult for everyone to see. Only really see half the front of the stage. The stage goes quite deep so unless you lean over the balcony you can't see much of the show. Wouldn't sit in a box here again
  • anonymous 2 star theater seat view
Royal Opera House, section: Upper side Slips, row: AA, seat: 33
Side view . Need to lean forward. You miss any action at the back of the stage and the scenery at the back but a bargain price for an ROH experience.

    Great seat.

    Tosca
A cracking view for the price. Oct '25
  • Royal Opera House, section: Amphitheatre Upper Slips, row: CC, seat: 18
    The Sicilian Vespers
A decent seat. Ample legroom for a smaller individual. Pleasant temperature. Backrest. No armrests. The seats are bench seats, so quite hard with no real padding. The view is restricted by a safety rail. It is, however, possible to view the performance through the rail or lean forward over the rail. Good view of stage. Missed some of the show to the right, but it wasn't a problem as the whole stage was utilised. Very good value even with the restricted view. The acoustics were phenomenal. The performance was absolutely breathtaking. A wonderful evening!
