  • Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare's Globe, section: Upper Gallery, row: DD, seat: 3
    The Tempest
Disappointing seats. Large part of stage out of view. Main part of set was only visible to those sitting downstairs or further around the gallery. Seats were terribly uncomfortable. No solid backrest. No armrests. Had to control foot movement in case of hitting patrons in front! Being high up, we were near to the candle lit chandeliers. Very, very hot! Absolutely stifling. The seats were not cheap. I expected a better view and a little more comfort/ventilation. The play was absolutely atrocious. We left at the interval. My first and last time at Sam Wannamaker!
  • Gillian Lynne Theatre, section: Circle, row: C, seat: 82
    My Neighbour Totoro
Dreadful seats. Side view. Large portion of stage was obscured by the set. The puppets were only seen from a side angle. Seats were roomy and comfortable. Ample legroom. Padded seating. Armrests and backrest. I decided to move seats in the interval and located a superb front facing seat in the Circle. Able to view the incredible puppetry from the correct angle. A fantastic show. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Many, many flights of stairs to teach the Circle! Very slow exit due to the crowds.
  • Hackney Empire, section: Upper Circle, row: F, seat: 14
    Pagliacci , English Touring Opera
Decent seat. Back row, but still a good view. Backrest. Armrests. A little uncomfortable towards the end of the opera. Ample legroom for an average sized individual. Steep viewing angle. Rake was good, but a tall person sitting in front would block your view. Safety light remained on throughout the performance in corridor behind the seat, which did detract some enjoyment from the performance. The show was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

    The Holy Rosenbergs ✡️
Superb seats. Back row. Perfect view. Brilliant rake. Comfortable temperature. Seats are a little hard. No armrests. Minimal backrest. Ample legroom. Small theatre, so a very intimate feel to the performance. A very powerful show. Staff were friendly and courteous. I found the venue very difficult to locate. Toilets are situated outside the theatre.
  • Mernier Chocolate Factory Theatre, section: Stalls, row: F, seat: 17
    The Holy Rosenbergs ✡️
Lovely seats. Amazing, clear view of stage. Good rake. Very intimate feel due to the size of the small theatre. Seats are at the back. A little hard. No armrests. Minimal backrest. Perfect temperature and acoustics. Ample legroom. Staff were friendly and courteous. I found the venue very difficult to locate! Presently, the toilets are located outside the theatre.
  • Royal Ballet And Opera House, section: Upper Slips, row: CC, seat: 6
    Rigoletto
Reasonable seats. Bench, so no armrests. Limited legroom. Ample space to place coat and bag under seat. Great view of stage if you are prepared to lean forward for the whole performance. No padding. A crucial part of the opera was played out on the far right of the stage. We were just about able to see it, but many others could not. Unsure as to why it wasn't played out in the centre of the stage. To experience the atmosphere & spectacle at a reasonable cost, I would definitely sit here again. The acoustics and temperature were perfect.

    Yentl
Brilliant seat. Bench seat, so not much padding & no armrests. Wall behind, so there is a backrest. Clear, unobstructed view of stage due to excellent rake. Ample room to place bag and coat under seat. Amazing leg room. The show was astonishing! Really enjoyed not being crushed up against other people! The entrance door proved a little distracting with late patrons coming in after the show had started. They have to walk past the seats, directly in front. Perfect temperature. Seats a little uncomfortable, but great value nonetheless. Would definitely sit there again! Staff were very helpful and friendly. A lovely theatre.

Perfect seat. Ample legroom & plenty of space for coats/bags. Church benches, so not very comfortable, but fine for an hour long concert. Able to view all the performers.
