  • Carpenter Performing Arts Center, section: Orchestra, row: F, seat: 36
    In the Heights
Excellent seat! Close enough to make out all faces and not too far to the side. Heads do not get in the way as the seating is raked, and even with the rake, legroom is still great!
  • A Noise Within, section: Center-Left, row: F, seat: 115
    Death of a Salesman
Good seat with decent legroom. Unobstructed due to the great rake, but I would personally prefer to be more centered. Faces are clear on the thrust stage and on stage right, but you're a little far to see faces on the opposite side of the stage and the dark lighting for this particular show does no favors.
  • Hollywood Pantages Theatre, section: Orchestra RC, row: E, seat: 204
    Monty Python's Spamalot
Last seat that is considered “premium” before the price lowers in seat 305. On its own, it is good. Faces are crystal clear and you can still see the entire stage despite the angle. However there is a seat directly in your line of sight, and the person in front of me blocked the entirety of center stage. It's a good seat on its own, but if you are short, it's a gamble.
  • Pasadena Playhouse, section: Orchestra, row: B, seat: 20
    Amadeus
Snagged this seat with 15 minutes until curtain, and it was surprisingly great! Last seat to the side, but surprisingly very little is missed. Occasionally, performers are within arm's reach of you! Still a bit too close for me, but with no seats directly in front, the unlimited legroom and easy exit more than make up for it!
  • Hollywood Pantages Theatre, section: Orchestra C, row: H, seat: 107
    Beetlejuice
Spectacular view! Dead center and perfect distance from the stage to make out faces and still take everything in. Tall heads can be a slight issue, but due to the staggering you will never have a head directly in front of you. There are vents underneath the two seats in the row ahead that slightly impede legroom, but it's still fine on its own. Would absolutely book again!
  • Mark Taper Forum, section: Main Floor, row: C, seat: 35
    Here Lies Love
Great distance from the stage, but way too far to the side. The performers rarely face you here, which made me feel removed from the action. Very frustrating to have paid a comparable price to the center seats in this row to have this much of a subpar experience in comparison.

  • Imperial Theatre, section: Rear Right Box, row: CC, seat: 4
    Chess
Fine, but only because the kind folks in the row ahead offered to move their chairs to the right as to avoid obstructing my view. Had they not done this, this seat would have no view of the stage. Seats 1-3 in this box are fine and mostly unobstructed. Be careful when accepting box seats as they are assigned at random!
  • New World Stages - Stage 1, section: Orchestra C, row: D, seat: 112
    Heathers
Best seat in the house. Perfect distance from the stage and one seat off of dead center. Tall heads are not an issue due to the close proximity to the stage. Good legroom and great sound!
  • Imperial Theatre, section: Rear Left Box, row: FF, seat: 1
    Chess
Best seat in all the boxes. Front row of the box, right against the railing (which does not obstruct), and due to the way this particular show is staged, you are still able to see 95% of the action. Definitely a great bargain for those who have seen the show already, but if you want to sit here, be warned that box seats are assigned at random (see previous review for seat 4.)
  • Imperial Theatre, section: Orchestra C, row: E, seat: 101
    Chess
Truly perfect! Great distance from the stage and right on the aisle, which allows for extra legroom. Taller heads can slightly obstruct, but the height of the stage mostly makes up for this. Very comfortable!
  • Westside Theatre Upstairs, section: Orchestra C, row: E, seat: 109
    Little Shop of Horrors
Best seat in the theatre. Full view of the stage and extremely close to the action. Seats are raked, so no heads in your way. Would happily purchase this seat again!
  • Imperial Theatre, section: Middle Right Box, row: BB, seat: 4
    Chess
Seats 1-3 in this box are fine. Seat 4 is abysmal. You're positioned directly behind seats 1 and 2 and have no view of the stage. Worst seat in the theatre. Disgraceful that this seat is sold at all, even at the discounted lottery price. Avoid at all costs.

  • Vivian Beaumont Theater, section: Orchestra LC, row: F, seat: 205
    Ragtime
Very good! I'd prefer a more centered seat, but that is just personal preference as you do not miss any action here save for when actors occasionally block other actors due to the staging. Extremely close, so all faces are visible. Legroom is extremely tight in this theatre, but this particular seat has a small opening that you can slide your legs into for virtually unlimited legroom!
  • Imperial Theatre, section: Front Mezzanine RC, row: A, seat: 303
    Chess
Absolutely perfect! You can make out all faces from here but take in the entire show from a wonderful vantage point. Legroom isn't great, but it's better than the other rows in this section. The banister does not block any part of the view.
  • New World Stages - Stage 3, section: Orchestra C, row: H, seat: 110
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Perfect view, but only because the seat directly in front of me was empty. There is no rake or staggering between rows and even somebody shorter than you will significantly block your view. If you're short, I'd recommend the side aisles in the orchestra just to be safe. Otherwise, perfect distance from the stage and very comfortable!
  • Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, section: Mezzanine C, row: A, seat: 107
    The Outsiders
View wise, it does not get better than this. You are perfectly centered and at only nine rows from the stage you can make out all faces perfectly. Front row, so no heads to block your view. However, there is zero legroom. Possibly the worst legroom I've ever had in a Broadway theatre- and I'm only 5'7! If you are any taller, I would recommend center orchestra instead.
  • Imperial Theatre, section: Orchestra C, row: A, seat: 111
    Chess
I was expecting this to be too close, but I was wrong. View wise, this seat is absolutely perfect for this show! You can see all faces in perfect detail and because of the staging you can still take everything in here. Heads can get in the way, but due to the height of the stage it's less of a problem here. Seat is incredibly narrow though, and the legroom isn't the best.
  • Circle in the Square Theatre, section: Orchestra 200 (Even), row: F, seat: 226
    Just In Time
Much closer than it appears here (photo was taken with 0.5x zoom.) Probably among the best seats in the house for this particular show. Perfectly centered between the two stages and far enough back that you can take everything in in one go without having to crane your neck back and forth to see the stages (they utilize both a lot!) Would not want to be any closer due to this. Zero obstruction from heads due to the fantastic rake, and you can still see all faces perfectly!
  • La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, section: Orchestra, row: J, seat: 10
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street
Surprisingly great for a last-minute purchase! You are at an angle, but for this show this is a non issue as nothing is obstructed. You can see all faces perfectly and the legroom is incredible!
  • La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, section: Balcony, row: AA, seat: 19
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street
Fantastic front row balcony seat! Close to center and still close enough to make out all faces. Railing does not obstruct the stage, but you do need to lean forward if you want to see the conductor/into the orchestra pit.
