  • Sarofim Hall, section: Mezzanine L, row: D, seat: 8
    Six
Tickets for center mezzanine were all gone, but these seats were still great.
  • Jones Hall, section: Orchestra C, row: AA, seat: 116
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater , Revelations
Plenty of leg room. Good view for back orchestra.
  • MATCHBOX 4, section: Orchestra, row: A, seat: 14
The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs
    No obstruction. Front row seats.
  • Sarofim Hall, section: Orchestra L, row: AA, seat: 5
    Some Like It Hot
Lots of leg room, but of the set of the stage is deep, you lose out on the left side of the stage.
  • Alley Theatre, section: 2, row: D, seat: 208
    Real Women Have Curves
  • Sarofim Hall, section: Orchestra C, row: HH, seat: 115

  • Brown Theater at the Wortham Center, section: Loge Box 17, row: 1, seat: 2
  • Jones Hall, section: Right Box, row: AA, seat: 10
    Very Merry Pops
You lose the bottom portion of the stage, but for the symphony, this is a great seat.
  • Brown Theater at the Wortham Center, section: Orchestra C, row: H, seat: 10
    Il Trittico
For a ballet, these are great seats. I wouldn't sit closer than this row for an opera. Otherwise, you'll have to crane your neck to read the subtitles.
  • Bayou Theater, section: A, row: D, seat: 14
    Swan Lake
Very close to stage. No issues seeing above people in front of me.
  • Sarofim Hall, section: Gallery L, row: G, seat: 4
    Kimberly Akimbo
It is far, but you can see the whole stage. No obstruction. Even if someone tall is in front of you, the seat is high enough to see. If you're on a budget, this works.
  • Sarofim Hall, section: Mezzanine R, row: K, seat: 12
    Life of Pi
You can see the whole stage.

    The Wizard of Oz
  • Brown Theater at the Wortham Center, section: F, row: C, seat: 7
    Sparrow
If you don't get orchestra seats, pick the grand tier. You can see the whole stage. The theater is steep, so you don't have to worry if a tall person is in front of you.
  • Zilkha Hall, section: Orchestra R, row: EE, seat: 8
    In the Heights
  • Brown Theater at the Wortham Center, section: Grand Tier F, row: C, seat: 7
    Raymonda
No problems if there is a tall person in front of you. You can see the depth of the stage when sitting here.
  • Cullen Theater, section: CC, row: D, seat: 10
    Breaking the Waves
Con: For an opera, these are bad seats. The surtitles are too high. I had to slouch down in my seat to let my head rest on the back of the seat or tilt my head up very far to read. Pro: For other events, the seats are great to see expressions.
  • Sarofim Hall, section: Gallery R, row: M, seat: 12
    The Wiz
For the price of the ticket, you see the whole stage. The seats are raised enough that your view will not be obstructed by anyone sitting in front of you.
