  • Classic Stage Company, section: Orchestra Left, row: A, seat: 110
    Marcel on the Train
On the one hand, this seat provides a great view - it's front row. However, the front row seats are just chairs on the ground. There are no arm rests and no free space between them, which feels very cramped. Its padding is worse than an average seat's.
  • Romulus Linney Courtyard Theater, section: Orchestra, row: K, seat: 1
    Mother Russia
Honestly, the view is great. The size of the room means that being on the "far left" of the row isn't a bad thing, and I appreciated the freedom of not having people on both sides of me.
  • Hudson Theatre, section: Dress Circle L, row: B, seat: 11
    Every Brilliant Thing
This seat has a great view and isn't too far to the left. Barring circumstances with extreme height differences, you shouldn't get your view obscured by the people in the row in front.
  • Judy Theatre at Playwrights Horizons, section: Orchestra, row: J, seat: 9
    The Dinosaurs
Perfect center view that's raised enough so that there's no one blocking you. The only downside is that the seats are a little too close together, but at least there was decent legroom.
  • Carnegie Hall, section: Parquet C, row: A, seat: 110
    Chris Fleming
While it'd be more fair to give 4 stars (you have to crane your neck up, and the actor can hide behind boxy equipment if they go upstage), being so close at THIS show made it all the more wonderful. Your mileage may vary depending on what you see!
  • The Shed, section: Center, row: K, seat: 20
    This World of Tomorrow
A bit far from the stage, but the view and sound were still great!

  • Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, section: Orchestra, row: L, seat: 3
    H.M.S. Pinafore
Despite being a rear left seat, was still a great view!
  • Mainstage at the New York City Center, section: Balcony, row: H, seat: 150
    Lyon Opera Ballet
The view itself is great. The bar isn't very high, and aside from a VERY tall person sitting in the row below you, you should be fine. The downside is that, despite having OK legroom, the seating is rather cramped with the people next to you.
  • Nederlander Theatre, section: Orchestra C, row: N, seat: 109
    All Out: Comedy About Ambition
The "center" aspect of the seat was great, theoretically a good view. However, I'm short, and a tall person blocked my view a little when they took the seat in front of mine. I managed by leaning my head to the side and peering between people.
  • Lyceum Theatre, Broadway, section: Mezzanine R, row: H, seat: 6
    Oh, Mary!
This may be the very back of the Mezzanine, but the seats are tiered well. Even my short self could see everything just fine! You'd need a REALLY tall person in front to obstruct your view.
