  • Tyne Theatre & Opera House, section: Gallery, row: F, seat: 16
    Celtic Illusion
A good view with lots of legroom but high and a bit uncomfortable. Advise bringing a cushion to push you forwards in the seat, otherwise the safety bar may block your view.
  • The Other Palace, section: Stalls, row: G, seat: 10
Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula The Sea Witch
Great view, though if you have tall people in front of you, part of the front of stage may be blocked.
  • Sunderland Empire, section: Upper Circle, row: C, seat: 18
    Matilda the Musical
People in row A are likely to lean forward which blocks some of the front right of the stage as well as the safety rail. Can see most things though. Would sit further back.
  • Theatre Royal Newcastle, section: Gallery, row: E, seat: 15
    Mamma Mia
View is generally okay given how high up it is but you will tend to lean forwards to see so it's not super comfortable. Ample legroom though.
  • Theatre Royal Newcastle, section: Amphitheatre, row: B, seat: 24
    Weird
Fairly good view - would avoid row A in Amphitheatre.
  • Southwark Playhouse Elephant, section: Basement, row: D, seat: 30
    Ballad Lines
    Great view of the stage.

  • The Olivier Theatre at the National Theatre, section: Circle, row: C, seat: 4
    Ballet Shoes
The clever design of this theatre means a pretty good view from any seat. Comfy and fairly roomy as it's a modern theatre.
  • Sunderland Empire, section: Upper Circle, row: D, seat: 28
    Fiddler On The Roof
Good view - only a tiny bit of set in this production is cut off right at the top from sight.
  • The Other Palace, section: Stalls, row: M, seat: 10
    50 First Dates
Pretty good view and reasonable legroom.
  • Theatre Royal Newcastle, section: Upper Circle, row: D, seat: 16
    Miss Saigon
Reasonable legroom (if you are 5' 5”). Pretty good view (people in front tend to sit back during the performance so you can see more). Only very very top of set obscured, which doesn't impact anything.
  • Sunderland Empire, section: Dress Circle, row: B, seat: 3
    Mary Poppins
Pretty good view and plentiful legroom - even more so at B1, so definitely the place to sit if you want more space.
  • Sunderland Empire, section: Grand Circle, row: A, seat: 39
    Friends! The Musical Parody
Pretty good full view of the stage with no obstructions. If sat more centrally would have been perfect.

    Inside No. 9 Stage/Fright
Pretty good view - I think row E has the best views in the Upper Circle.
  • Lyric Theatre, West End, section: Balcony, row: A, seat: 8
    Hadestown
You will need to lean over the edge to get a decent view - photo shows the view if you don't. Front right of stage will still be tricky to see. Okay legroom but tricky passing people. May be better sitting a few rows higher to get a better view.
  • Theatre Royal Newcastle, section: Upper Circle, row: A, seat: 24
The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical
Great view! Limited leg room and the seats don't fold up, so can be a squeeze getting past people.
  • Criterion Theatre, section: Upper Circle, row: A, seat: 16
    Titanique
The safety rail gets in the way a little bit of the view, though not too annoying, and the view is otherwise great. Very limited legroom (and I don't have long legs).
  • Sunderland Empire, section: Upper Circle, row: E, seat: 30
    Bat Out Of Hell
I think row E has the best views in the Upper Circle as the safety rail doesn't block the stage like it might lower down, and you can see the whole set, which you may not up higher.
  • London Coliseum, section: Upper Circle, row: D, seat: 20
    The Great Gatsby
A good view with reasonably priced tickets (the price difference between rows D and A is quite a lot) but it's a big theatre so can feel a little far away.
  • Dominion Theatre, section: Circle, row: H, seat: 19
    The Devil Wears Prada
Great view. The safety rail isn't an issue but some people's heads may block the very front of the stage though this doesn't really impact the view (would probably be worse the row behind).
  • Arts Theatre, section: Stalls, row: E, seat: 9
    The Choir of Man
Great view for a good price. May just about get one of the freebies thrown out to the crowd.
