  • Goodman Theatre - Owen Theatre, section: BALC, row: AAA, seat: 53
    Fat Ham
If you don't mind a view from the top it's ok. There is a grid and a railing in fromt of the row, but you can move the seats closer so you don't have to stay bent forward.
  • CIBC Theatre, section: Mezzanine LC, row: F, seat: 311
    Shucked
Decent view, slightly left of center. No obstruction.
  • Cadillac Palace Theater, section: Balcony LC, row: N, seat: 305
    & Juliet
    Narrow seat. OK view.
  • Lyric Opera of Chicago, section: Main Floor, row: BB, seat: 108
    The Nutcracker
Close-up to give a better idea - you can see the stage VERY well.
  • Lyric Opera of Chicago, section: Main Floor Aisle 2, row: BB, seat: 108
    The Nutcracker
Not as far away as it looks. Good seat.
  • Cadillac Palace Theater, section: Orchestra R, row: O, seat: 20
    Some Like It Hot
Comfortable seat with a good view. Seats are on a low grade, tall people could block the view. Whole stage is visible and it's closer than I thought!

  • Studebaker Theatre, section: Balcony, row: JJ, seat: 116
    Manual Cinema's Frankenstein
Temporary seat at the back of the balcony, not part of standard seating. Lighting rig isn't exactly in the way, but it's a bit distracting. For a discount ticket, not bad; for full price I'd suggest a different row.
  • Chicago Shakespeare - Courtyard Theater, section: Dress Circle, row: A, seat: 12
    Pericles
Good view, comfortable seat. I can see the whole stage.
  • Orchestra Hall, Chicago, section: Gallery Right, row: H, seat: 2
Weird Al Yankovic tour: The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanilty Tour
The gallery is great if you want cheap seats AND if you aren't acrophobic or prone to vertigo. I am not, and found it comfortable with great sightlines. Cheap seats are steep seats, so be aware! Not much leg room, either, okay if you're short like me
  • Cadillac Palace Theater, section: Balcony C, row: P, seat: 313
    Some Like It Hot
Cushy seats on a good grade, tall person won't block my view. Seats run a tad smaller than some other theaters.
  • James M. Nederlander Theatre, section: Loge C, row: A, seat: 306
    Beetlejuice
Good seat, great view. Railing, but not obstructing
  • Copernicus Center, section: Balcony, row: D, seat: 21
    Ballet Folklorico 5th Anniversary
Comfortable seats, good view, can bring drinks into theater. Recorded sound not that great but that may be the engineer for this show.

  • Chicago Shakespeare - Courtyard Theater, section: Main Left, row: D, seat: 107
    Henry V
Nice roomy seat, only the very edge of stage right is cut off from view.
  • Studebaker Theatre, section: Orchestra, row: M, seat: 4
Hamlet , New York Circus Project
This looks far away. It's not. The theater is small. Great view, the balcony overhang doesn't affect this seat. Plenty of legroom, too. For a $20 ticket, I'm happy.
  • Lyric Opera of Chicago, section: Main Floor Aisle 2, row: FF, seat: 107
    A Midsummer Night's Dream
Good seat in Aisle 2, right on the aisle. You can see the whole stage.
  • Cadillac Palace Theater, section: Orchestra R, row: P, seat: 32
    Death Becomes Her
Marked as restricted view, but all I missed was a little on the far right - and none of the major action was over there. Mine was a discounted rush ticket - decent for the cheap price!
