  • Love Theatre - The Mirage, section: 202, row: L, seat: 2
    The Beatles LOVE
Fantastic seat! Close enough to the action but high enough to enjoy the aerials.
  • Hanover Theatre, section: Gold L, row: H, seat: 18
    Jagged Little Pill
Perfect distance to the stage and while it is far to the left, most of the action for this show takes place center or to the right. If you're short your view could be blocked by a person in front of you.
  • Hanover Theatre, section: Gold R, row: C, seat: 1
    Jagged Little Pill
This is a handicap accessible seat on the aisle so the seat is removable and a little harder than other seats in the theatre. It has a great view of the stage with perfect sight lines as it is on the aisle.
  • Hanover Theatre, section: Gold R, row: C, seat: 5
    Jagged Little Pill
I loved being this close and since I've seen the show before it did not bother me being so far right. Depending on the show though this may be a little too far right.
  • Hanover Theatre, section: Orch L, row: P, seat: 20
    Jagged Little Pill
Good view of the stage from this row but a few seats more center would be preferred. The sight lines from this angle aren't great and if there had been someone sitting in the seat in front of me my view would have been blocked.
  • Hanover Theatre, section: Orch L, row: S, seat: 26
    Jagged Little Pill
I was in this same row a little more center the night before and it was a much better seat. The sight line being a little further left was not as good and it did not help that I had someone tall in front of me.

  • Hanover Theatre, section: Gold R, row: F, seat: 13
    Jagged Little Pill
The distance to the stage was perfect but it is just a little too far right. You don't miss too much but a more center view is preferred.
  • Hanover Theatre, section: Orch L, row: S, seat: 16
    Jagged Little Pill
Nice view of the whole stage and I had no tall people blocking my view. I prefer to be closer to see facial expressions better but this was a nice overall view.
  • Music Box Theatre, section: Orchestra R, row: H, seat: 4
    Suffs
Great seat! 2nd seat from the aisle and the angle made seeing the stage perfect. It's also a fairly high stage so this was an ideal distance from the stage.
  • August Wilson Theatre, section: Kit Kat Klub Orchestra 1, row: E, seat: 114
    Cabaret
No photos were allowed in the theatre for this show but hopefully I can shed some light on the layout to answer many of the questions I had when trying to choose a seat. First, the seating layout has been completely revamped in this theatre with a small stage now in the middle and seats on both sides of the stage. They truly do perform to both sides so don't get hung up on which side to be on. I was on the "traditional" side of the theatre which they perhaps played to only slightly more. Or maybe I felt that way since that's the side I was on but they definitely played to both. My seat was 5th row and center and absolutely perfect. It was an intimate setting and I was the right distance to all of the action. Looking around the theatre though I feel like all seats would be very good. Since the stage is in the middle, no seat is really far from the stage. The best seat is the one that allows you to experience this show!
  • Nederlander Theatre, section: Orchestra L, row: B, seat: 7
    The Who's Tommy
Close with great sight lines to the stage but it was far left. I could still see everything important but a more center view would have been preferred.
  • Broadway Theatre - 53rd Street, section: Orchestra C, row: C, seat: 110
    The Great Gatsby
I chose this seat specifically to be front and center for this show and was very happy with it. It's third row but there is a gap with no seats in Row A so there is really only one row in front of you. Row B would be even better. Some may feel this is too close as it is a high stage but it was worth the trade off to see every little facial expression.

  • Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, section: Orchestra L, row: E, seat: 1
    The Outsiders
This was a great seat and being on the aisle gave a clear view of the stage. For this particular show I would recommend being back a few more rows. The stage is high and there is a lot going on that would be better viewed from a distance. Also, you are also just slightly still in the splash zone.
  • Westside Theatre Upstairs, section: Orchestra C, row: F, seat: 109
    Little Shop of Horrors
There really is no bad seat in this theatre. It's very small and has stadium seating so you can easily see the stage. This felt like the perfect distance from the stage. The rows are close though so it could be uncomfortable for those with long legs.
  • Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, section: Orchestra L, row: G, seat: 5
    The Notebook
I could see everything perfectly from this seat. The sight lines and the slight rake made it so people in front of you did not block your view.
  • Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse, section: Orch, row: D, seat: 107
    Fat Ham
Great view of the stage. The rows are close though so if someone tall sits in front of you it could block your view. I doubt there's really a bad seat in this theatre.
  • Carpenter Performing Arts Center, section: Orch, row: E, seat: 25
    42nd Street
Great view of the stage! The seats are stadium style so even if someone tall sits in front of you it will not obstruct your view. There is a lot of space between the stage and the seats (wide pit plus ADA section) so row E feels more like row H.
  • Samueli Theater, section: Loft, row: 213, seat: 1
I doubt there is a bad seat in this intimate theater. I had a clear view and the sound was great.
  • Hollywood Pantages Theatre, section: Orchestra LC, row: E, seat: 307
    The Wiz
Good sight lines to the stage and close enough to see facial expressions too. This show uses curtains/banners along the sides of the stage which did obstruct the view slightly.
  • California Theatre Of The Performing Arts, section: Orchestra B, row: AA, seat: 106
Puffs or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic
The stage is really high and there is also a speaker that blocks the view slightly. Being a few rows back in this theatre will give you a better experience.
