  • The Newman Theater at The Public Theater, section: Orchestra, row: Q, seat: 9
    Gatz
The view is fine but it does feel distant in this small theater - the hall is long, which psychologically seems to make you feel far away even though Q isn't actually so bad...
  • Carnegie Hall, section: Upper Balcony R, row: P, seat: 30
Great acoustics for orchestra up here. Seats in the balcony have little legroom, but being on an aisle like this seat helps a lot. View is good for a cheap seat, can see 95% of stage.
  • Metropolitan Opera House - Lincoln Center, section: Family Circle L, row: D, seat: 11
    Tosca
Great acoustics - good view for a cheap seat, though it is far, I think this is area is the best for the lowest price level. And you can see plenty of the huge sets from here just fine!
  • Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, section: Middle Mezzanine R, row: H, seat: 2
    Death Becomes Her
Great view for a cheap seat, and on an aisle. (Heads do not obstruct the stage when everyone is seated - this was during standing ovation curtain call.)
  • St. James Theatre, section: Mezzanine R, row: K, seat: 8
    Sunset Boulevard
  • Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, section: Mezzanine R, row: J, seat: 6

  • Barrymore Theatre, section: Rear Mezzanine C, row: D, seat: 102
  • St. James Theatre, section: Mezzanine R, row: K, seat: 8
    Sunset Boulevard
Solid view - seats are staggered so even though heads do impede some, you can mostly look around people for a clear view.
  • Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, section: Mezzanine R, row: J, seat: 6
  • Metropolitan Opera House - Lincoln Center, section: Family Circle Box 23, row: A, seat: 17
    Les Contes d'Hoffmann
Great acoustics, obstructed but perfectly decent view by leaning over.
  • Laura Pels Theatre, section: Mezzanine, row: A, seat: 1
    The Counter
Good view of the stage, not a big theater!
  • St. James Theatre, section: Balcony C, row: H, seat: 105
    Sunset Boulevard
This is the view sitting fully back in your seat - but since it's the last row of the theater, you can also lean forward and see fully. See other photo from this seat for the full view, which isn't bad.

  • St. James Theatre, section: Balcony C, row: H, seat: 105
    Sunset Boulevard
Not bad, though high - need to lean forward a bit for this view, though you can do so without disturbing others as this is the last row. The stage comes out a bit, so you'll need to lean forward now and then.
  • David H. Koch Theater, section: Orchestra C, row: R, seat: 146
    New York City Ballet
  • David H. Koch Theater, section: Orchestra C, row: T, seat: 124
    New York City Ballet
  • Broadhurst Theatre, section: Mezzanine R, row: B, seat: 22
    The Hills of California
There is no seat in front of you, so there is wonderfully ample leg room. A small safety bar directly in front of the seat could impact your view if you are short.
  • Broadhurst Theatre, section: Mezzanine R, row: A, seat: 20
    The Hills of California
The banister at the front of the mezzanine is huge, and could impact your view if you are short.
  • Vivian Beaumont Theater, section: Orchestra RC, row: P, seat: 409
  • Minskoff Theatre, section: Orchestra L, row: U, seat: 13
    The Lion King
Largely good view - some slight obstruction from the mezzanine and tech equipment (the very top of pride rock as you can see here), but I didn't find it limited my enjoyment of the show. Plus the elephant marches RIGHT past you during Circle of Life!
  • Hollywood Pantages Theatre, section: Mezzanine L, row: A, seat: 27
    Company
OK view - very far off to the side. For shows with big sets and stuff happening in the back, your view will be very impacted. But if the show is a concert or staged at the front, no big deal. This seat has a great view of the the GORGEOUS theater though.
