  • Romulus Linney Courtyard Theater, section: Orchestra, row: E, seat: 115
    Oratorio for Living Things
There are 5 rows on each of 4 sides. Row E is the fifth and highest row, which allows you to see all of the staging. The actors frequently perform from the staircases and Row E overlooks. Row D may be a little better for sound, but don't sit too close.
  • Alice Tully Hall, section: Orchestra, row: H, seat: 115
    Juilliard Orchestra
Good seat, but a little too close to the stage. The seating chart is misleading. Row G is actually the first row in the Orchestra; Rows A-F do not exist. The view of the inner circle of first chair string players is incredible, but sit further back.
  • Peter B. Lewis Theater, section: Dress Circle, row: K, seat: 16
    Works & Process: Fellow Travelers
Very good seat. Row K in the Dress Circle is elevated above Row J and is separated from the lower Orchestra section by a short wall/ledge. The view is clear and unobstructed by any heads.
  • David H. Koch Theater, section: First Ring R, row: AA, seat: 34
ABT@85: A Retrospective of Master Choreographers
Good seat, but some of the action far Stage Left is out of view. Fantastic view of the orchestra - especially the violin and cello sections. Clear view of the dancers. No heads blocking the view; this seat is the one right against the red railing.
  • David H. Koch Theater, section: First Ring C, row: D, seat: 104
ABT@85: A Retrospective of Master Choreographers - Dress Rehearsal
Great seat. The row is raked, so it's easy to see over heads in Rows A-C. Lots of legroom.
  • Twyla@60: A Tharp Celebration
Video clip. Good seat, but you will miss some of the action on far Stage Right. It has a clear view of the orchestra and dancers. There are no heads blocking your view.

  • David H. Koch Theater, section: First Ring L, row: AA, seat: 33
    Twyla@60: A Tharp Celebration
Good seat, but you will miss some of the action on far Stage Right. It has a clear view of the orchestra and dancers. There are no heads blocking your view.
  • The Newman Mills Theater, section: Orchestra, row: D, seat: 13
    Not Ready for Prime Time
Excellent seat located in the center of Row D. The actors are very close when on the thrust/runway. Row F may be better for taking in all sides of the stage (and for extra legroom). TDF Purchase.
  • Orpheum Theater, New York, section: Orchestra, row: K, seat: 11
    Ginger Twinsies
Partially obstructed view. It's the last seat in Row K against the wall; the action on far Stage Right is blocked. Go for the odd-numbered seats in Row J which have extra legroom and a better view. The theater's acoustics are poor; sit close to the stage.
  • Paris Opera Ballet
Video. Very good seat. Row A is raked, so it is easy to see over heads in the Grand Tier. Clear view of the dancers and musicians. Extra legroom is a plus in this row.
  • Mainstage at the New York City Center, section: Mezzanine R, row: A, seat: 6
    Paris Opera Ballet
Very good seat. Row A is raked, so it is easy to see over heads in the Grand Tier. Clear view of the dancers and musicians. Extra legroom is a plus in this row.
  • Paul Recital Hall, section: Orchestra, row: F, seat: 15
    Violin Concerto Competition Finals
Great seat with a perfect view! Row F is raked above Row E, so there are no heads blocking the view. Plenty of legroom. If you want to be closer to the stage, go with Row D.

  • Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater, section: Orchestra, row: D, seat: 11
    Caroline
Great seat - perfect distance from the stage. Easy to see over heads in Row C. Legroom is a little tight.
  • Stephanie P. McClelland Drama Theater, section: Orchestra, row: D, seat: 109
    nut
Great view, but it's a very uncomfortable seat. No legroom. Very hard cushion. It was difficult to make it 90 minutes without losing circulation in my legs.
  • Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater, section: Orchestra, row: F, seat: 2
    Caroline
F2 is in the last row of the theater, but there are only 6 rows total. You can easily see over the heads in Row E. This seat has extra legroom, because there are no seats directly in front of it. Seats F1, F2, F19, and F20 are the only seats like this.
  • Peter B. Lewis Theater, section: Perimeter, row: J, seat: 35
Works & Process Presents American Ballet Theatre
Very good seat. No row in front to see over. Row J is by itself and looks out over the sunken Orchestra section. You also have a great view of the panelists who sit off House Left in the black stools.
  • Mainstage at the New York City Center, section: Grand Tier C, row: B, seat: 105
    Fall for Dance Festival
Great seat in the 2nd row of the Grand Tier. Easy to see over heads in Row A. Fantastic view of the stage and performers. 5 seats in from the aisle.
  • Fall for Dance Festival
Video clip. Great seat! Second row of the Grand Tier - 1 seat away from dead center. Closer to the stage than you would imagine with a much better view than most orchestra seats. No heads will block your view.
  • Mainstage at the New York City Center, section: Grand Tier C, row: B, seat: 114
    Fall for Dance Festival
Great seat! Second row of the Grand Tier - 1 seat away from dead center. Closer to the stage than you would imagine with a much better view than most orchestra seats. No heads will block your view.
  • Mainstage at the New York City Center, section: Grand Tier C, row: A, seat: 109
    Fall for Dance Festival
Outstanding seat! Perfect sightlines. Very close to the stage, the dancers, and the musicians. One of the best seats in the house.
